What is doggie daycare and why could your pup benefit from it?

It’s a well known fact that dogs can become anxious and bored when left home alone. This anxiety and boredom can lead to a number of undesirable behaviors. Our dog daycare is the perfect way to alleviate these symptoms and to allow your pup to socialize and exercise.

We at Paradise Pets are aware that leaving your furry family member for the first time can be a stressful experience; but our daycare offers a healthy solution to keep your dog fully occupied and safe. Your dog gets the opportunity to interact in a pack setting and to build important social skills. Our professionally trained and caring team goes the extra mile to make sure your dog is safe and stimulated while you are at work or running errands.

You no longer have to feel guilty about not having enough time or energy to exercise your dog after a long day of work. At the end of a day of daycare, you will pick up a perfectly happy and tired out pup! We care for your dog as if they’re our own and ensure that they have the most exciting day ever!

What will my pup’s day look like in daycare?

Our doggie daycare includes spacious, climate-controlled playrooms that are 100% supervised at all times. Upon arrival, our team will meet with you and your pup to become acquainted and to answer any questions you may have about our daycare program. Your dog will undergo a temperament test to ensure that your dog is a suitable candidate for daycare. We take a number of factors into consideration including your pup’s personality and play style to ensure the safety and comfort of both our dog handlers and our other daycare dogs.

Once your dog passes the temperament test, our team will determine which playroom your dog will be placed in. Our play groups are separated by size, temperament, and play style to ensure the comfort and safety of each pet. You are welcome to bring lunch or a snack for your dog if they need to eat at a specific time – we always separate dogs while feeding them and allow them time to digest before putting them back in the playroom.

Our play areas are full of stimulating playground equipment and toys to challenge your pup both mentally and physically. Your pup will have 24/7 access to fresh water and comfortable raised cots. Our staff always ensures that your dog gets plenty of individual attention and exercise as well as reinforcing basic training commands and appropriate behavior. Our playroom floors are specially designed with your pup’s comfort and safety in mind as they are easy on your pet’s joints and eliminate bacteria growth for a safe day of play!

What are the requirements for my dog to attend daycare?

1. All owners will be interviewed and all dogs will be temperament tested before being invited to attend our doggie daycare. All dogs must be non-aggressive towards other dogs and people. Your dog’s daycare eligibility will be determined through our interview/temperament testing process where we will ask you several questions about your dog to better understand his/her personality, likes/dislikes, and play style.
2. All dogs must be at least four months old to attend doggie daycare at Paradise Pets. All dogs over the age of six months must be spayed or neutered.
3. All dogs must be vaccinated for Rabies and DHPP within the past year to three years (depending on age and vet recommendation) and Bordetella within the past six months to year (depending on age and vet recommendation).
4. All dogs must be healthy and free of communicable diseases within the past 30 days.
5. All dogs must be up to date on flea and tick medication.
6. All dogs wearing a collar must have a flat collar with a plastic or metal clip for safety reasons (break-away collars are preferred). Beveled collars and harnesses will be removed during playtime.
7. All dogs attending daycare must be picked up 30 minutes before closing time. Dogs picked up after closing time will be subject to a late fee of $10 for every fifteen minutes.
